Purpose: This scholarship is to attract well qualified minority high school and transfer students to a Biological and Agricultural Systems Engineering (BASE) course of study at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). Number of Scholarships: At least ten (10) annually Value: Eight thousand ($8,000) for in state students and a maximum of $16,000 for out of state students. The Scholarship can be used to help defray the cost of tuition, fees, and room and board. Criteria: High school recipients must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0. A SAT score of at least 1560 or an ACT score of 24 (verbal and math). For the $16,000 scholarship, the recipient must have a 3.5 GPA and a SAT score of at least 1680 or an ACT score of at least 27(verbal and math). Transfer students must have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average. All recipients must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0, be enrolled in fifteen (15) hours of undergraduate courses per semester, and pass all courses attempted. Must be a US citizen. The applicant is required to apply for financial aid (contact the Office of Student Financial Aid, Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, FL 32307-3200). Scholarship Eligibility Requirements It is the goal of the Order Sons of Italy in America to promote, enhance, and encourage the studies of Italian Heritage and culture. This scholarship program is designed to benefit worthy students of Italian descent attending a Duval County Florida high school that display academic excellence, and leadership qualities. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of eligibility, scholastic achievement, and participation in school and community programs.

The priority deadline for scholarships at Georgia Southern is approaching! November 1st is the application deadline for our first scholarship event, Southern Scholars Showcase, for students who have at least a 1300 SAT score (Math + Critical Reading) or a 29 Composite ACT score.
Students who meet the requirements for Showcase need to submit the Application for Scholarships and the University Honors Program and complete their Application for Admissions. Students who are applying for the University Honors Program must also have a letter of recommendation from a teacher or staff member that they have worked closely with in high school. Qualified students who are invited to attend the event will have the opportunity to interview with faculty for all scholarships for which they are eligible. The next application deadline is February 1st for those interested in Scholars’ Day and/or the Southern LEAD Conference. Scholars’ Day is for students who have at least a 1200 SAT score (Math + Critical Reading) or a 27 Composite ACT score. The Southern LEAD Conference is for students who have shown outstanding leadership in their high schools and involvement in their communities. Students must have at least an 1100 SAT (Math + Critical Reading) or 24 Composite ACT and a 3.0 GPA in order to be considered for the Southern LEAD Scholarship. The Stokes Program is open to high school seniors, particularly minority students, planning to major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities. Selected from a nationwide pool of applicants, up to 40 students will become Jack Kent Cooke Scholars and have access to funding for up to four years for undergraduate studies.
